Chris Freeman Director of Production Having joined us in May 2006 as Director of Production, Chris works closely with our production sites around the world. His many duties include production planning, troubleshooting technical issues and basically making sure that everything runs smoothly for our customers. Prior to joining us, Chris worked for several years as Technical Manager for Production with a leading company in our industry. This gave him in-depth experience in all aspects of stock plant production; preparing him well for his new role with Syngenta Flowers. Prior to this he was the Regional Specialist for Commercial Greenhouses with Colorado State University Cooperative Extension where he worked with all types of greenhouse producers in Colorado. Chris has also worked as a grower for hydroponic tomato and lettuce operations, and in the nursery and landscape industry before pursuing his Master's degree in horticulture from Texas A&M University. Harvey Lang, Ph. D. Director of Technical Support Harvey is Director of Technical Support.  His duties include working closely with brokers and growers on cultural advice for geraniums, poinsettias and vegetative products.  He develops technical information and documentation on Syngenta Flowers products for both the greenhouse industry and consumers.  Dr. Lang received his B.S., M.S, and PhD from Kansas State University, Texas A&M University, and Penn State University, respectively.  He worked for several years as a state extension specialist at Iowa State University and as an educator/researcher at Texas A&M University. Dan Lehman Director of Quality Control Dan has an extensive background in this industry.  He grew up in a family owned greenhouse and then went on to get his horticulture degree from Colorado State University.  In 2001, Dan came to Syngenta Flowers and is now our Director of Quality Control.  In addition to providing technical support to customers, Dan works hand in hand with our rooting stations to ensure that cutting quality and facility sanitation standards are being met. Mark Seguin Director of Product Development Mark Seguin joined the Syngenta Flowers team in 2005 as Director of Product Development. In addition to his experience in wholesale greenhouse operations, Mark also worked as a vocational agriculture instructor and helped manage a retail garden center. He earned his B.S. from Michigan State University.  In addition to providing technical support to customers, Mark works with the breeders and production teams in coordinating the introduction of new varieties, including the coordination of all University trials. Karl Trellinger Co-President of Syngenta Flowers Karl oversees technical support, direction of breeding, new product development and travels extensively in a supportive role to various branches of the Syngenta Flowers group.  In addition to Karl's technical support roles he is Co-President of Syngenta Flowers.  Karl received his degree as horticultural engineer at the Technical University of Munich and worked as trial and production manager of rooting and stock plant facilities within the Syngenta Flowers organization prior to becoming Co-President of Syngenta Flowers.
